The Ada Railroad Depot played an integral role in the establishment of Ada, Ohio.  Today, it is a famous historical landmark in Hardin County.  Originally opened in 1887, the depot was utilized as a rest station on the Clevland Railroad and is one of Ohio’s few remaining pre-1900s passenger stations.  The Depot stands as a museum featuring various artifacts about the town’s history before the creation of automobiles.  Spectators are also welcome to view the station agent’s living area, passenger and baggage areas, telegrapher’s office, and freight room. 

Freed Center for Performing Arts

Visit the ONU Astronomy Observatory

Constructed in 2010, the ONU Observatory’s mission is to “educate and inspire the students of Ohio Northern University, as well as the surrounding community, about the exciting and rapidly evolving science of astronomy.”  The observatory regularly premieres public shows in the evenings and will be live streaming the total solar eclipse on April 8th.  For groups interested in touring, clear spring days are an opportune time to use the facilities telescopes.  If you are lucky, you might be able to view the sun!  Large groups will enjoy watching a show at the observatory, as it comfortably fits about 60 people.
